AT-ART1000X

AT-ART1000

Designed for sonic excellence

Audio-Technica has developed and constructed the AT-ART1000 as a continuation of its pursuit of sonic excellence, drawing on 54 years of knowledge and experience in the manufacture of cartridges to provide the optimal listening experience when playing analogue records.

The AT-ART1000, the most advanced cartridge to date, combines extensive knowledge and expertise in analogue audio technology with state-of-the-art materials and design – this is often regarded as the theoretical ideal.

Direct drive system

To ensure that neither the material nor the length of the tonearm affects audio quality, the moving coil is mounted directly on top of the stylus, so that the signal transmission does not have to occur over the entire length of the tonearm. The immediate proximity between coil movement and stylus tip allows the AT-ART1000 to vividly reproduce the finest sound details, incredibly precise mids and deep frequencies, and delivers an unmatched transient response.

Made in Japan

Meticulously handcrafted in Japan and equipped with a heritage of over 54 years in the manufacturing and development of cartridges.

Non-magnetic core coil

PCOCC coil wire with a diameter of 20 μm, which has been wound eight times to a total diameter of 0.9 mm into a non-magnetic core coil. Despite a non-magnetic core type, an output voltage of 0.2 mV is achieved by placing a coil with 3 Ohms in the tiny 0.6 mm gap of a powerful magnetic field.

Cartridge modification program

To protect against damage to the tonearm and the wear of the stylus tip of the cartridge, we offer a cartridge modification programme funded by us. This programme provides for the exchange of the entire assembly including the stylus, tonearm, coils, and rubber dampers. For complete details on this programme, please contact your local Audio-Technica Service Centre. Please note that this programme may be discontinued without prior notice and depending on the availability of spare parts or the time elapsed since the product release.
