The PMC12 represents a significant step up from the PMC10 in scale, dynamics, bass extension, and maximum SPL, and is designed for the most demanding professional environments. It is ideally suited to high-end music recording, mixing, and mastering studios, as well as larger broadcast, television, and film post-production facilities where accuracy, power, and headroom are critical.
At the core of the system is PMC’s latest-generation Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) cabinet, engineered with LaminairX™ venting to deliver uncompromising low-frequency extension, control, and efficiency. This foundation is matched with a hand-built 34mm soft-dome tweeter and PMC75v3 midrange, enhanced by PMC’s proprietary n-compass™ waveguide, which ensures precise dispersion, phase integrity, and absolute tonal consistency—ensuring every critical decision translates without question.
Low frequencies are reproduced by a newly developed, in-house 12-inch bass driver featuring double-stacked magnets, a three-inch three-layer voice coil, and a highly stable suspension. This design maintains a linear motor force over an extended pistonic excursion, resulting in ultra-low distortion at all monitoring levels.
Power is provided by PMC’s master36 rack-mount DSP and amplification platform, delivering 800W each to the high- and mid-frequency drivers and 1000W to the bass driver. Precision DSP provides optimised crossovers, transparent protection, and comprehensive room EQ via PMC’s SoundAlign2 interface.
Ideal for stereo and immersive monitoring, the PMC12 scales to a twin-cabinet XBD configuration for increased system scale and low-frequency headroom.
